FILM

Over the last four years Kareem has enjoyed producing some great shorts and being on the producing team for two incredible feature films.

 

His focus is now on developing a slate of narrative projects that speak deeply to culture and champion writers and directors with a unique perspective. As a Nigerian-Indian Muslim, he's interested genre films from minority ethnic backgrounds.

SYNOPSIS:

In a dystopian London, the gap between rich and poor has been stretched to its limits. All forms of social housing have been eradicated and only The Kitchen remains.

 

A community that refuses to move out of the place they call home. This is where we meet a solitary Izi (Kane Robinson), living here by necessity and desperately trying to find a way out, and a 12-year-old Benji (Jedaiah Bannerman), who has lost his mother and is searching for a family. We follow our unlikely pair as they struggle to forge a relationship in a system that is stacked against them.

SYNOPSIS:

A Very Short Film About Longing is a film about a love triangle between individuals who can never be together but want for love nonetheless. Lena's affair with high school teacher Paul reaches it's appropriate end when her husband returns, ill, after a long time away in Poland - and with that, Paul's world shatters.

SYNOPSIS:

Jonathan is out of place in his middle-class London drama school. Pigeon-holed for a role as a Black hoodlum in a classmate’s play and coaxed by his teacher to take the typecast part, Jonathan decides to demonstrate to his peers the prejudices, during a class role play exercise.
