A UKMVA Nominated producer who's recently transitioned from Music & Commercial to Film. In 2019 Kareem co-produced his first film - Play It Safe Directed by Mitch Kalisa - that went on to win the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Short at SXSW Festival 2021. The film's success continued with a BIFA Nomination and was selected for the long list BAFTA Nominations in 2022.

Following this Kareem has produced three more short films, collaborating with directors Caleb Femi, Rashida Seriki and Eimear McBride on these and subsequently worked on two feature films as an Associate Producer. Notably working alongside Theo Barrowclough and Daniel Emmerson from DMC Film on Daniel Kaluuya & Kibwe Tavares’ Netflix feature The Kitchen and Charlotte Regan’s debut feature, Scrapper.

His own journey began as a child actor - a time he still draws upon to bring a unique perspective to his work behind the camera. Previously Kareem has also worked as a Head of Music Video at Greatcoat Films after a successful run at freelance producing promos for many major UK and US labels and well-known musicians like Wizkid, Mabel, Royal Blood, Aitch and many more. In his first year at the company Kareem was nominated for the UKMVA Producer of the year award.
